Stephen Pire

Head TEFL Trainer

Steve is the head instructor of our Shanghai TEFL course and he has over seven years of teaching experience. He currently holds a post as visiting professor at East China University of Politics and Law in Shanghai, China. He has different degrees in English, Linguistics and Law. Stephen loves teaching TEFL courses and meeting new trainees, who come from all walks of life and usually have very diverging views on just about everything.

Nikhil Patel

TEFL Trainer

Nick has been living and teaching in China since 2010. Since then, he's had the opportunity to teach adults, secondary and primary school English learners. He can't think of a moment when it wasn't enjoyable! Whilst doing so, Nick had the privilege to be welcomed into family homes, become part of the school's team of teachers, and take part in much more than just teaching English. He can't think of another serious profession that so regularly delivers so many giggles.

Lisa Li

TEFL Trainer

Lisa has been teaching English for over a decade and has been a teacher trainer for nearly five years. She's taught long-term specialized courses for small groups of teachers in addition to seminars to over a hundred teachers. In 2012 she received a government award for being the best teacher in Shanghai's Changning district. If Lisa is not training teachers she enjoys eating and baking cakes with her husband.

Nicole Zhang

TEFL Trainer

Lisa joined the Teacher Trainer team in November 2015, and has been a wonderful addition ever since. She brings in five years of Primary Years and Early Education experience and is an expert when it comes to teaching K-5 students. In her spare time she enjoys shopping and watching Western TV series like "Sherlock".
