I'm wanting an ice-cream. I want an ice-cream. Want is a state verb and
cannot be used in the continuous.
n.b. Just saying that it should be present simple instead of the
present continuous IS NOT a reason. You must explain why.
Example.
I'm seeing the doctor at 3.00 tomorrow.
Tense: present continuous to talk about a definite arrangement in the future.
Teaching Idea: Students are given a diary with appointments for the
coming week and students in pairs try to find times when they are both free.

If I (go/went) to Australia, I would go to Melbourne.
